In general, vertical applications are custom-developed by in-house IT staff, application development houses or systems integrators. At present, there are only a few vertical industry packages developed for specific customers. We expect software houses to introduce more and more turn-key applications as they generalize these applications for wider et of customers in that industry sector. Then, they can customize a general-purpose vertical industry application for unique business processes, forms and user interface of a customer.
