Intermec Teams With Epsilon To Provide Complete Solution For Retailers.

Intermec Technologies Corp. agreed to license Epsilon Technology’s multiple application software to give retailers real-time data. Epsilon’s software will run on Intermec’s 602 and 6642 pen-based computers and  operate across all Microsoft Windows products from CE to NT in an industry standard wireless environment. It allows businesses to support:

• Mobile transaction processing

• Price inquiry

• Stock checks

• Point of purchase

The palm-sized 602 combines the features of PDAs and mobile computers with a tactile keyboard and enhanced connectivity. The slim line 6642 gives clients laptop power with a large color screen. The goal of this solution is to offer retailers the ability to serve their customers at the point of purchase by using a wireless solution that links to their company systems for real-time information, giving better customer service.
